Visionary has over 130 Full, Associate and National members. These are all independent charities delivering vital services to visually impaired people at a local level. Our members are in touch with over 220,000 blind and partially sighted people which means that, as a collective organisation, we represent the most blind and partially sighted people in the country.
Local sight loss organisations have to find their own funding and their income can come from several sources including contract work with their local authority, trust funds, the national lottery programmes, community fundraising activities, bequests, and voluntary donations from the public.
Local sight loss organisations rely a great deal on volunteers to deliver their services. If you would like to volunteer for a local sight loss charity, do get in touch to see what opportunities are available in your area.
