Visionary Briefing Special Edition – Visionary Staffing Update

Visionary Staffing Update

It has been a busy time recently at Visionary central and I wanted to share some updates with you on the staffing front as we will be managing a bit of change in the team over the next few months, all for good reasons.

Firstly, I am delighted to announce that Gareth Brydon, whom many of you will know from his time at Action for Blind People and RNIB, will be joining us as our new Head of Member Services in January. Gareth will be leading the Member Engagement Team and the Development and Innovation Team. The board and I are excited that Gareth will be joining us and I’m sure he is going to be a great addition to the Senior Management Team with all the relevant sector experience that he brings with him.

Michelle Baxter Wickham will sadly be leaving us at the end of December to join the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes, a cause very close to her heart. She has been a great asset to the team and will be missed but we know that she will have a great time in her new role visiting all of the animals that she loves. We are, therefore, advertising for a new Member Engagement Manager to work with Gareth.

As we have worked with members and our national partners recently to determine current and future priorities, we have identified the need for more resource to drive forward our regional development support plans and to support Andy Haynes in the growing demand for services from his Income Development Team. We are, therefore, also advertising for a new post – a Development Manager to work with Andy as we develop our work in these areas.

We are pleased to announce that Giulia Vitaletti is expecting her second child at the end of January, although unfortunately for us that means she will be taking some time off from her role as Development & Innovation Co-ordinator. We wish her and her family well during this time and look forward to welcoming her back when she’s ready. Recruitment for her maternity cover is currently underway and we hope to be able to share further details of her temporary replacement with you in the next couple of weeks.

Finally, as many of you now know from the Visionary Conference, I will be off on maternity leave in March next year. This means that we are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Interim Chief Executive Officer to keep driving things forward at an exciting and critical time for Visionary as we all strive to find solutions for delivering high quality services together in challenging conditions.

Details of these posts can be found by following the links above or under Vacancies on our website, so please do have a look if you are interested or know someone else who you think would be a good fit.

The Visionary Conference 2017 round up will follow shortly, and we will keep you posted on further developments as we enter the next round of business planning to set our collective priorities for the 2018/19 financial year and beyond.

In the meantime, if you require further clarification on the information stated above, or wish to contact Visionary for any other reason, please call 020 8090 9264 or emai

Chief Executive Officer
