About You
Are you an enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised individual who can take the reins in leading a dynamic Charity as it implements a brand-new strategy?
If so, you’ll be a real team player, friendly and committed with a ‘can do’ positive attitude. You will be keen to bring your experience to shape this role and implement new ways of working both internally and externally. This is a time of creativity for the charity, as we develop new services and settle into our new location.
This is a great opportunity to develop our thriving, successful charity supporting people living with sight loss.
The Charity
The Charity is the primary local charity for people living with sight loss in Warwickshire. We offer a holistic service from the point of diagnosis, through visual impairment rehabilitation to long term social support to ensure that any person with a visual impairment gets the support they need, when they need it.
We have a staff of 24 people and value diversity and inclusion in our approach to the community we serve.
We believe that diversity and engagement is not only the right thing to do, but is the only way we can achieve our goals. We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds and cultures.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive leader who can embrace this role within the Charity, leading the organisation with responsibility for operations, finance, quality and strategy. The purpose of the role is to lead and further develop the Charity, providing statutory rehabilitation and voluntary support services to visually impaired people in Warwickshire.
You will be working with a professional board of 14 trustees from diverse backgrounds, each supporting the charity with specific expertise.
