TAVIP (the Technology Association of Visually Impaired People) is a UK-wide, member-led organisation which brings together both expert and novice users to provide peer support and formal training on accessibility features in mainstream products and on specialist assistive technology. We run monthly training and discussion sessions on zoom, host an email discussion list, run an annual TechaBreak conference weekend and provide 1:1 work-related IT training sessions for people wanting to improve their use of technology to move into, or to stay in work. We are also working in partnership with other sight loss organisations on a number of sector-wide projects.

At this exciting time in the charity’s development, we are seeking a new Chair of Trustees who can work with other trustees and members to further develop our services and partnerships, and to manage our resources to have the greatest benefit for our 300+ members. You are likely to have a good understanding of assistive technology, either as a user yourself, or as someone working within the sector, and ideally you will have a good understanding of what is involved in running a small charitable organisation.

If you are interested you can download the information pack from our recruitment page.
