North East Sensory Services awarded funding for Connect, Include and Support Project

North East Sensory Services logo has a grey box with a curved red line going upwards which meets with a blue curved line above.

North East Sensory Services (NESS) is delighted to have been awarded funding of £58,288 over the next two years from The Alliance Self Management Fund. This funding is towards the delivery costs of our Connect, Include and Support (CIS) Project, which provides peer support, social and activity groups for people aged 65+ (many are in their 80s and 90s), living with a severe visual and/or hearing impairment in Aberdeen and Moray. Specifically the funding will support our initiative, prompted by the impact of COVID lockdowns and restrictions on this group, to connect them with families, friends, the community and each other by providing training and support in using accessible digital devices.

The Self Management Fund for Scotland is administered on behalf of the Scottish Government by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) with support from the William Grant Foundation.
