Annual Subscription Bands:
Band A – Voluntary led or total annual income* of ¬£50,000 or less – Free
Band B – Total annual income* of between ¬£50,001 and ¬£150,000 – ¬£30
Band C – Total annual income* of between ¬£150,001 and ¬£250,000 – ¬£50
Band D – Total annual income* of between ¬£250,001 and ¬£500,000 – ¬£150
Band E – Total annual income* of ¬£500,000 or more – ¬£225
*Your subscription fee is based on your total income or free reserves, whichever is the greater, for your last complete accounting year.
Total Income is as per the Charity Commission definition and is usually referred to in your annual accounts as “total incoming resources” which in addition to fundraising income includes other sources of income such as contract income, grants, legacies etc.
Free Reserves is defined as Total Balance Sheet Value less Tangible Fixed Assets, Endowment Funds and Restricted Funds. For the avoidance of doubt, funds such as Designated Funds are part of Free Reserves and should not be deducted from Total Balance Sheet value. Associate member
For individuals or organisations who are neither local charities or national organisations
Gain all member benefits excluding voting rights and Development and Innovation fund
National member (formerly corporate member)
National not-for-profit organisations who are in the sight loss industry
Gain all member benefits excluding voting rights and Development and Innovation fund
Applied for via membership forms and conversation with CEO
