I’m new to the VI sector having previously worked in academic publishing and STEM outreach, both of which relied on forming important partnerships and developing fun new ideas.

What do you like most about working for Visionary?

The wonderful people I get to work with, and the importance we place on sharing ideas and supporting each other within our membership. Every charity has something to bring to the table and together we can improve the sector as a whole, to provide great support for blind and partially sighted people.

Why work in the VI sector?

I have Albinism so have been partially sighted since birth. I’ve benefited from the work of sight loss charities, so have seen first hand the importance of what they do and how passionate everyone is in their work. It’s a very supportive and innovative sector to be a part of.

If you could be anywhere on Friday afternoon where would it be?

If I’m at home in London, then out on a walk with friends before heading to a gig in the evening. If I get to be anywhere, then down in Cornwall reading a great book on the beach!
