VisionPK welcomes new Chief Executive
We’d like to give Kate Charles, new CEO at VisionPK a warm welcome to the Visionary network!
Kate said,
"I am delighted to join VisionPK in the role of Chief Executive. I have worked in the voluntary sector for over 15 years, working in senior leadership roles for the last 8 years. I worked at the Stroke Association for 12 years, supporting people with disabilities, long-term health conditions and sensory loss. My last role was at Marie Curie as Head of Operations for the Northwest of England. I am passionate about developing and delivering high-quality person-centred services and support. I have extensive experience of developing/growing services, working with volunteers and community support/engagement.
As well as a new job I am relocating from Liverpool with my husband and our 3-year-old Labrador. We have spent a lot of time in this area of Scotland over the last few years and we are super excited that Scotland will now be our new home.
It is an exciting time to join VisionPK with the development of the Sensory Centre in Perth. This is my 2nd week and I have been welcomed by fantastic colleagues who are all extremely experienced and passionate about supporting people with vison and hearing loss. I am looking forward to meeting many of you over the coming weeks and will be at the Visionary Conference in September."
