Upcoming Digital Glaucoma Support Groups
Glaucoma UK are offering a range of Digital Glaucoma Support Groups in May 2021.
These sessions are designed primarily for patients but are often of interest to professionals and anyone working with people with glaucoma. All talks are free to attend, but you will need to register to access the webinar. Please feel free to pass this information to patients, carers, staff, and colleagues.
5 May 2021 at 6pm – Glaucoma and Eye Drops (Urdu):
This digital glaucoma support group will be held in Urdu and will discuss glaucoma and eye drops. Glaucoma Specialist Optometrist Nizz Sabir will join Glaucoma UK to talk about good eye drop routines. Nizz currently works as Specialist Glaucoma Optometrist.

11 May 2021 at 10am – Living with Glaucoma:
Glaucoma UK will be joined by Rachel Hilton and Owen Williams. Rachel is a glaucoma-specialist nurse at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Owen has glaucoma and is CEO of Wales Council for the Blind. Together they will be talking about how you can live well with glaucoma. After they have spoken, there will an opportunity to share you hints, tips and frustrations about living with glaucoma. 19 May 2021 at 7pm – Glaucoma in Focus: Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome and Glaucoma:
Professor Azuara-Blanco, Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Queens University in Belfast will be the speaker for this session. Professor Azuara-Blanco is highly experienced in dealing with complex glaucoma and following his presentation, you will have an opportunity to ask him questions. You can register via this link.
