As part of our evaluation, the Electoral Commission is gathering feedback from a range of sources including via public opinion research and from electoral administrators and candidates.

This will include evaluating the impact of the requirement to show photo ID at the polling place and the changes to the support provided at polling places to enable, or make it easier, for disabled people to vote. Alongside this, we are keen to receive feedback directly from the people Visionary members work with and support about their experiences.

Visionary members are asked to help by completing the survey below for partners and share with your members the survey below for voters.

Survey for partners

The survey for partners is designed for completion by Visionary members on behalf of the people with whom you work and support. It also provides you with an opportunity to feedback on resources provided by the Commission.

British Sign Language (BSL) users can access a version of the survey for partners with BSL videos here.

Survey for voters

The survey for voters is for Visionary members to share with your members and service users so they can complete this directly and share their experiences of the voting process at this year’s elections.

British Sign Language (BSL) users can access a version of the survey for voters with BSL videos here.

The surveys will be open until 19 August 2024 and can be completed using the links above or by returning the Word documents above by email to the Electoral Commission or by post to: Policy Team, Electoral Commission, 3 Bunhill Row, London, EC1Y 8YZ.

If it is not possible to complete or distribute these surveys, we would be happy to receive feedback on the topics covered in another format. This could include any findings from any research you may be undertaking yourselves in relation to the UK general election.

Thanks in advance, and please let us know if you have any comments or questions.
