NHS mental health campaign uses accessible formats
NHS England have recently launched a campaign to promote NHS mental health services. The campaign encourages anyone experiencing feelings such as anxiety, depression or other common mental health concerns to seek help through NHS Talking Therapies and that these services can be accessed via self-referral, or a GP.
There are talking therapies available in British Sign Language (BSL) through the SignHealth Psychological Therapy Service – this service provides therapists who are either Deaf or hearing and fluent in BSL, and some can also support deaf people who do not sign.
Resources can be downloaded from the Campaign Resource Centre on Public Health England website including large print and Braille is available on request.
