Throughout the day, you’ll hear from experts in macular disease about the latest research, treatment options and patient care. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions during live Q&A sessions after each talk.
Dr Clare Bailey from Bristol Eye Hospital will discuss the breakthrough treatments on the horizon, which could potentially treat late-stage dry AMD, also known as geographic atrophy and Professor Richard Gale of York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will shine light on the introduction of biosimilar drugs to the NHS.
The experts will also cover topics such as the impact of macular disease on our mental health and the link between diet and our eyes, meaning there is so much to look forward to at the Macular Disease Conference 2023.
As well as sessions for those living with macular disease, there will also be a programme for people who have been recently diagnosed as well as family members, friends and caregivers.
To watch online, all you need on the day is a computer, tablet or smartphone. You can also join in using your telephone.
Further updates on all the day’s speakers and presentations are available on the Macular Society website.
