Inspired by the members of our braille group, and their enthusiasm for learning braille, Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind is launching a new scheme to bring braille into more homes than ever before.
The Braille Penfriend scheme will connect like-minded braillists from across supported countries and beyond to form new connections and practise their braille in an engaging way, while meeting new people and bringing back the almost forgotten art of letter writing.
Letters will be delivered safely inside cardboard tubes, with Coventry Resource Centre for the Blind functioning as an intermediary, ensuring both sides of the conversation are in control of what information they share with their Penfriend.
