Invitation to join ‘Fast With Me’ initiative and Ramadan iftar session

RNIB invites Visionary members and partners to join their ‘Fast With Me’ initiative this Ramadan along with Muslim colleagues.
For the past two years, RNIB’s Race Forward Network has successfully organized the ‘Fast With Me’ initiative, inviting RNIB employees to observe a day of fasting with their Muslim colleagues. This year, they are planning to observe fasting every Tuesday during the month of Ramadan which begins in the evening of 10 March 2024 and ends 10 April 2024.
As an extension of this, they are contemplating an Iftar session, where they would like to invite their Muslim colleagues, their managers, and any SLT/ELT members interested in joining. One intriguing idea they are exploring is to participate in the Open Iftar, a charitable initiative by the Ramadan Tent Project which could add a meaningful and inclusive dimension to their Ramadan celebrations.
If Visionary members feel this is something you would like to support, please can you email Andrea Glover, Strategic Engagement Manager – Third Sector at RNIB with your availability who will schedule a Teams meeting for discussion as soon as possible. Please note that the invite will come from the charity.partners@rnib.org.uk email address rather than Andrea directly as she is not part of the EADI group, but is organising this.
