Forth Valley Sensory Centre gets into festive spirit to help those with sight and hearing loss with charity Winter Fayre
A sensory charity is inviting people to get into the festive spirit and support people with sight and hearing loss at its Winter Fayre in Falkirk.
Forth Valley Sensory Centre (FVSC) organises the annual event to raise funds to support its work. The charity helps thousands of people across Forth Valley in Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire, offering a range of services to those who are blind, partially sighted, deaf and hard of hearing.
Last year, the Winter Fayre raised more than £1,600, with donations from local businesses and volunteers helping to make it a huge success. There will be stalls selling crafts, a tombola and raffle, and delicious food and drinks on sale. The Sensory Singers choir will provide the entertainment, and there will be a sign language singalong with children from Windsor Park School.
The event is family friendly, open to all and entry is free. It takes place on Friday 17 November 2023, from 11am-2pm at the centre in Falkirk.
Jacquie Winning MBE, chief executive of Forth Valley Sensory Centre“The Winter Fayre is a highlight of our calendar and we look forward to welcoming the wider community along for a day of family festive fun. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share some of our work and to celebrate the achievements and creativity of our community. The money raised will go towards supporting people with sensory loss in Forth Valley, helping people live life to the full.”
