Sight Loss Councils – Sight Loss Councils are being established across the UK to help improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people. They are made up of volunteers, who are blind and partially sighted, tackling local issues, working with public, private and voluntary organisations to improve the accessibility of their services. The website is also a source of information for organisations wishing to collaborate and improve their inclusive practices.
Connect Voices Network – Connect Voices is a way people with sight loss can get involved in RNIB’s work. Some of the Connect Voices opportunities include co-designing services, projects and events, co-delivering courses for people with sight loss, taking part in polls and surveys, joining local committees to improve services and support for people with sight loss in local areas, etc.
Employment assessment toolkit – this RNIB toolkit is aimed at employment professionals working with visually impaired people. It is based on two documents – the assessment tool and the action plan development document.
Inspiring Impact – Established in 2012, Inspiring Impact is delivered by a coalition of six organisations across the UK; it supports people who work or volunteer for charities and social enterprises through free online resources, peer learning networks and grant funding.

We know the very best people to help Visionary members are other Visionary members. Organisations who share a similar vision and mission, and experience similar problems and predicaments but who may have found some nimble solutions and resolutions. Please do consider sharing your guides, plans, templates to help others take their work forward. We can, if you wish, password protect your work so that anything you share will be seen exclusively by Visionary’s network. If you have great knowledge to share, please email your documents to Visionary.
