Media trust – a fantastic website for charities wanting to know more about media, public relations, communications, social media and digital publishing. You’ll find:

– free and paid for training courses for charities (including the free Digital skills masterclasses run in conjunction with Google Digital Garage
– an opportunity to sign up to receive mentoring from experienced media or communications professionals.

Use The Media – this website, launched in 2013 by a former BBC journalist, provides free resources and advice for organisations trying to raise their profile in their local area.

Charity pr – some useful PR information for charities on website set up by Ethos Public Relations company.

Small charities coalition – free resources and information on a range of subjects for small charities.

CharityComms – the membership network for communications professionals working in UK charities. Find lots of free to view resources around all things strategic communications within charities.

NCVO know how – NCVO is a NGO based in England, championing the voluntary sector in England by connecting, representing and supporting voluntary organisations. Their ‘Knowhow’ website provides lots of resources and e-learning for charities, social enterprises and community groups. Many of the pages are free to view for non NCVO members too.
