What’s your professional background?

Before joining Visionary in 2015, I combined my professional management roles with a number of volunteering and trustee roles with local charities.  I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and previously worked as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where I led a number of restructuring and change projects and also led the Banking and Capital Markets Community Affairs Group. In 2011 I moved into the role of Finance Director at a commercial property investment group where I worked part time so that I could focus more time on my volunteering and trustee activities, particularly  assisting a local charity with their strategy development. I then joined the voluntary sector full time as Interim Finance Director at Thomas Pocklington Trust in 2014.

What do you like most about working for Visionary?

Visionary has given me such a fantastic opportunity to work with an amazing group of people from all over the country. No one day is the same and I’m always learning something new from the people that I work with.

Why work in the VI sector?

I love working in the VI sector as it is so full of passion and energy and there is so much opportunity to have a huge impact on people’s lives.

If you could be anywhere on Friday afternoon where would it be?

I don’t work on Fridays so I get to spend the day with my little girl, hanging out at the park and softplay. Why would I want to be anywhere else (except maybe hiking in the mountains of Nepal but she’s a bit young for that at the moment)?
