BBC Radio 4 ‘In Touch’ to feature Sight Concern Worcestershire and Visionary

On the evening of Tuesday 14th January, BBC Radio 4’s ‘In Touch’ programme will feature CEO of Sight Concern Worcestershire, Jenny Gage, along with Visionary’s own CEO Fiona Sandford. In Touch is a BBC Radio 4 weekly program featuring news, views and information for people who are blind or partially-sighted.

When radio producer, Mike Young, was asked to guest produce the ‘In Touch’ program for the month of January, he picked up the phone to his friend Jenny to discuss ideas about what would make an interesting feature. Several ideas were bounced around but the one that presenter, Peter White, liked the best was around the important role that local sight loss charities play, the challenges we face and the significant impact that we have on the lives of people with sight loss. The programme raised the profile of local sight loss organisations and discussed the crucial services they offer and the considerable gaps that are filled.
