Exclusive Visionary Leadership Programme opportunity for members
To celebrate International Leadership Week 2024, Visionary is excited to announce an exclusive leadership programme designed for current and aspiring leaders within our member organisations.
This exceptional opportunity, made possible through external funding, aims to strengthen leadership skills across the local sight loss sector.
Programme Overview
Over the next three years we will host six in-person events, two per year. In 2025 the events, facilitated by Nicky Shaw, Birch Tree Associates, will focus on key aspects of leadership, including self-development, relationship-building, managing conflicting demands, along with navigating change and uncertainty. Participants will have the invaluable opportunity to share knowledge, learn from peers, and develop leadership skills in a supportive environment.
Benefits and Features
By participating in this programme, members will gain enhanced leadership capabilities, build your professional network, and develop strategies to thrive in uncertain times. While the program primarily centres around face-to-face events, we are exploring the possibility of supplementing these with online resources, subject to additional funding. This blended approach would aim to provide comprehensive support for your leadership journey.
Practical Details
Our events will take place at NCVO in London, conveniently located near Euston and Kings Cross stations. The events are fully funded for paid members of staff working in Visionary member organisations. We are also pleased to be able offer a small contribution towards travel costs but are unable to cover any additional expenses incurred by delegates, such as accommodation.
2025 Schedule
The dates for 2025 are as follows:
- Online Check-in and Introductions: Thursday 6 March 2025, 10am – 12noon
- Day 1: Thursday 13 March 2025, 10am – 4pm
- Day 2: Thursday 22 May 2025, 10am – 4pm
How to Apply
Join us in creating a cohesive, empowered community of visionary leaders. With only 30 places available, we will be selecting a motivated group of individuals who are keen to collaborate and enhance their leadership capabilities while supporting one another.
If you’re open to learning and committed to contributing to a stronger, more resilient sector, we encourage you to apply. Please note that due to the limited number of spots, there will be a selection process to ensure we build a diverse and dynamic cohort. The selection process will consider:
- Your motivation to participate.
- The size and scope of your organisation.
- The potential impact of your attendance on your organisation.
This approach will help us ensure a diverse and effective cohort that can collaborate meaningfully.
To express your interest, please complete and return the Visionary Leadership Programme expression of interest form by 5pm on Friday 6 December 2024. We will review all applications and notify successful candidates during the week commencing 16 December 2024.
