Diversity & Inclusion Officer

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: circa £33,000 per year
Contract: Fixed Term of 6 months
We’re in search a new Diversity & Inclusion Officer to join us in our Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion (ADI) team.
This is a full time, fixed term contract, initially for 6 months with the possibiility of extension. This is a home-based role, but you will be required to attend infrequent meetings at our office in London (a short walk from King’s Cross station).
About the Role
As Diversity & Inclusion Officer, you’ll play a key role in applying the ADI strategy to internal teams and beyond, improving diversity and inclusion practices across the service. This includes devising and delivering training, as well as leading in projects and supporting managers and staff in embracing change.
You’ll also support in the collection of diversity data from customers and be involved in assessments, using your findings to develop new ways of supporting our workforce.
You will be a trusted source of advice, helping others to make practical and informed decisions and ultimately creating positive change in a large organisation.
Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and awareness of diversity, inclusion and equalities legislation, preferably within the charity sector. You will have a good understanding of the issues, barriers and benefits that affect employees who may be under-presentated in the workplace.
You’ll have experience of taking forward projects with internal stakeholders, and be confident in advising and encouraging others to play an active part in new ideas or practices that they may not be used to.
You will be handling a number of projects, so the ability to organise and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines is essential.
