This new role has been created to ensure that Focus Birmingham’s corporate functions keep pace with the growing and changing needs of the charity. What does the Director do Ensure that Focus Birmingham’s corporate functions keep pace with the growing and changing needs of the charity. As a Director you would Finance and Resources
Develop and implement a financial strategy to support the corporate strategy and ensure that the charity is financially strong in the short term and remains financially sustainable in the medium and long term.
Workforce
Drive the development of our organisational culture, ensuring the delivery of high quality, person-centred services through the leadership of the Human Resources functions, the Total Reward offer to our workforce and volunteers and providing executive assurance to our trustees.
IT and Digital
Lead on the development and maintenance of a cross-organisational IT Strategy that will enable the charity to better achieve its Vision, Mission and Strategy. Identify resource needs; source suppliers; purchase equipment and deliver/commission training as required by the IT Strategy. Work closely with colleagues across the charity to identify needs and develop solutions in partnership
Premises and transport
Take overall corporate responsibility for all of the charities premises and transport fleet. Ensure the safety of all of the people we support our staff, volunteers and visitors to said premises.
People Management
Provide effective line management, guidance and support to the resources directorate including agreeing and reviewing annual performance objectives by way of the charity annual appraisal process
Executive team responsibilities
Attend regular Senior Team meetings and contribute to decision-making on the wider activities of the organisation.
Act as a senior advisor to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and the charities board on finance, HR, IT, and Premises issues
To deputise of the CEO as and when needed.
