Fiona Sandford, currently CEO of Visibility in Scotland, will be taking on the role of interim CEO of Visionary when Alison Oliver goes on maternity leave in March 2018. The Visionary board members, the team and Alison are delighted to welcome Fiona to this position and look forward to her leadership over the coming year for the benefit of members and the blind and partially sighted people that they support.
Graham Findlay, Chair of Visionary, said: “I am delighted to welcome Fiona into this role. She has many years of experience working in the sight loss sector and I’m sure will be an excellent asset to Visionary. We have moved on significantly over the past 2 years and we are sure that Fiona and the team can continue with the fantastic work started by Alison.”
Fiona said: “I am really pleased to be joining Visionary at this exciting time. I look forward to discussions with Visionary members and partners to learn and share how we can move forward by working together. As most members know, I have many years of experience within the sector, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of the inspirational Visionary team.”
The Visionary central team will be sharing more updates with members and partners in the New Year. They are currently reviewing all the feedback from the member survey and this will help us to finalise the business planning review that is currently ongoing, as well as giving Fiona some further insight to the priorities of our members and the people they serve.
