Spotlight

Bradbury Fields, in Liverpool, have recently secured a multi-year sensory contract from Knowsley Council. Previously, Knowsley Council managed a range of providers to deliver their sensory services, alongside Bradbury Fields, which is a key sight loss service provider. However, Knowsley Council preferred a single sensory contract and Bradbury Fields, who work closely with other local sensory providers, successfully developed a partnership bid and are now the lead on the sensory contract. Read more

Visionary Matters

Visionary staffing changes

Matt Carr, our Head of Member Services left Visionary on Friday to take up a new secondment opportunity at RP Fighting Blindness. Matt has led the Member Engagement and Development & Innovation teams during a time of continued growth, extending our influence and expanding our services. We will miss Matt but wish him the best of luck in his new role.

As a result, we are recruiting a new Head of Member Services and would be grateful if you could promote this exciting opportunity throughout your networks. The closing date is 16 October. Read more

Charity Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) (FRS 102) – senior personnel salary information

We are aware that a few members have recently been discussing the impact of Charities SORP (FRS 102). A key issue that has been raised, is the disclosure of senior personnel salary information in the published charity accounts, with obvious concerns being expressed about confidentiality of personal salary information. As with all regulations, some points are quite specific with others less so and more “open to interpretation”. We’ve taken some soundings from an experienced charity accountant to help members as they work with their financial advisors regarding meeting the reporting requirements. Read more

Rehab working group

We are looking for members who can attend approximately 3 meetings a year, via teleconference.  The group will oversee other Rehab related projects which are being delivered by Visionary and its stakeholders.  The group have previously been involved in the Making Rehab Work pilot which set out to determine what levels of rehabilitative support could be provided by non-rehab qualified individuals. We are looking for members who have a specific interest in outcome measurement around rehabilitation. If you are interested please contact us.
