RNIB Update for Visionary members
As many of you know, we have been working with RNIB (and others) to share feedback from our members and to see how we can develop our joint working models to build better, more connected services, for blind and partially sighted people across the UK. We’ve seen some real movement on this front over the last 6 months but, as always, change doesn’t happen overnight and those of us involved in the discussions recognise that there is a lot more to do to put some of this into action and to address the issues we are facing together. We’re already involved in some exciting projects on this front and will look to bring you more news on those as we progress. In the meantime, here is an update from Philippa Simkiss, Head of Partnerships at RNIB. Read more

We are thrilled to announce our new and improved Visionary website, which was launched on Monday 23 October 2017.

We are pleased with the innovation and support amongst the Visionary membership in response to changes in the law on data protection. However, we realise that there is still a lot of uncertainty around proposed changes and how best to respond in order to remain compliant and promote best practice when it comes to managing people’s data. We want to tell you how Visionary plans to support local organisations, to address these changes and provide you with some direction and resources to get
you started. Read more
