Spotlight

Vision Support (in Chester) recently successfully challenged a local authority sensory contract tendering process. This resulted in a 6 month extension to their current agreement and secured jobs. The commissioners have since cancelled the contract award process and will be conducting a new tendering process in the future.

Visionary Matters

Important changes to Visionary’s regional model

We have made changes to how we reach and support members
across the UK. Previously each organisation had a Relationship Manager who would be their point of contact for help and advice. As the team expanded we found that this model did not work efficiently, therefore, we have now adopted a regional/country group model. Each region or country will have a dedicated lead from the core Visionary team who will be a point of contact for the members within this area. They will work closely with the Regional
Representative and work alongside leads from our partners (EVS, RNIB, Blind Veterans UK, etc.). This will allow us to work more cohesively within each area and increase our understanding of what is happening across the country.
The Regional Leads will be in contact with their respective Regional Representatives shortly, and arrange catch up meetings with each of you over the coming weeks and months.
