Essex Sight Exhibition

This exhibition brings together support services and commercial companies with information and products for people who are visually impaired.

Essex Sight organise this to provide an opportunity for people to see all the latest technology in one place local to them.

The exhibits will include exciting new developments in electronic magnifiers, reading machines, computer software, optics and phones designed especially for visually impaired people. This includes portable video magnifiers and the new Orcam reading device which works through a tiny camera mounted on your glasses and can read out printed word via a microphone alongside the camera.

The exhibition is organised by the local charity Essex Sight who run weekly drop in centres in Chelmsford library every Friday from 10am to 2pm where everyday aids are available to try along with information and support from the volunteers, many of whom are visually impaired themselves.
